(3 February 2017) France pays tribute to Mario Dondero: photographer, photojournalist and blogger who has left a mark in our country and beyond. The nation does so with an exhibition open to the public until Monday, February 27. The Italian Cultural Institute in Paris in collaboration with Castaldi Partners, recalls the legendary figure of photojournalism who passed away just over a year ago with an exhibition including hundred photographs at the Hôtel de Galliffet located between rue de Varenne 50 rue de Grenelle 73, in the seventh arrondissement- headquarters of the Italian Cultural Institute of Paris. “Dondero – Milan / Paris” brings together a selection of black and white photographs taken by Dondero in 2010 in the two cities he lived and worked in and with which he has a deep connection to: Milan and Paris. He tried to capture the everyday movement of life and the poetic souls of the cities, the size of the population, their secret beauty, the future and their solid cultural roots. Dondero is considered one of the greatest Italian photographers of the twentieth century. He passed away in December of 2015 at the age of 87 in the Marche region, where he lived. (Red)
