(17 April 2017) On the occasion of the reopening of the Municipal Theatre of Tunis, the Italian Cultural Institute presents the contemporary dance performance of La Traviata by Artemis Dance Company on April 27th (20:00-21:00) at the Theatre. Traviata – performed by Melissa Cosseta, Jessica D’angelo, Roberta De Rosa, Angela Valeria Russo, Francesca Linnea Ugolini, Emanuele Serrecchia, Filippo Stabile and choreographed by Monica Casadei – is the company’s first chapter of a project dedicated to Giuseppe Verdi – a dance interpretation of Verdi’s most famous operas – followed in January 2012 with the premiere of Rigoletto at the Jean Vilar Théâtre de Suresnes in Paris. Finally, for the bicentennial anniversary of Verdi’s and Wagner’s birth, Teatro Comunale of Bologna commissioned “The Double Night. Aida and Tristan “, accompanied live by the theatre’s orchestra and Maestro Claudio Scannavini’s interpretation of Giuseppe Verdi’s and Richard Wagner’s music. (Red)
