(3 August 2017) A delegation of 19 students from the “Guido Carli” LUISS University in Rome spent one week in Kosovo for a training course organised and led by Italian military personnel of the Multinational Battle Group West of the international KFOR mission. As a collaboration between LUISS and the Ministry of Defense, the Italian students lived with Italian military commanders guided by the Italian multinational command on the 3rd Alpine Brigade “Julia” Mountain Artillery Regiment. They shared operational duties and met representatives of Kosovo’s economic and social institutions and realities in the university environment, the administrative municipal context, the protection and preservation of cultural goods, industrial, ethnic, and religious traditions. Colonel Enzo Ceruzzi, the Commander of the Mnbg-W, described the exclusive experience as “a fundamental resource capable of transmitting a wealth of knowledge that for students comes to fruition in an extraordinary competitive advantage aimed at developing a full understanding of what the ‘sistema paese’ is today”.
