Barcelona – Gaia Lucilla Danese has been appointed new Consul General in Barcelona, taking Stefano Nicoletti place. From September 2013 to August 2017 Danese was First Councilor for Culture and Press at the Embassy of Italy in Madrid. A diplomat since 2000, abroad she has also served at the Italian Embassy in Lisbon (2003-2007) as Head of the Commerce and Consular Office and in Montevideo (2007-2011), as Consul of Italy.
