Cairo. The Forza Italia member of Parliament and second-time President of the Committee on Equality and Non-Discrimination of the European Council, Elena Centemero, will receive the “Excellent Advocacy for Women Award” today in Cairo. This prestigious award will be conferred to her by BPW International (International Federation of Business and Professional Women) – one of the most influential international networks for businesswomen, female workers, and professionals with 110 member countries and consultant capacities to the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and to the European Council. During the 29th BPW International conference, Centemero – participating as a speaker – will be awarded for her efforts in women’s empowerment, for promoting actions aimed at the improvement of women’s conditions, to eliminate gender discrimination and to fight violence against women.
