A selection of 16 bronze models and 14 new tempera on paper by the well-known Italian artist, Sauro Cavallini (www.saurocavallini.it) will be on view until June 10th at Les Galeries Marval Antique & Contemporary Art (www.lesgaleriesmarval. ch) in the Swiss town of Neuchatèl, where the culture of beauty, the search for form, and the synthesis of design are the basis of the Italian curator Rita Rocconi’s philosophy. The artist, born in Liguria and turned Tuscan, is a leading figure in the contemporary art scene. Sauro Cavallini born in La Spezia in 1927, moved to Florence at a young age where he currently lives and where he developed his entire artistic production. As a teacher for over half a century, he has always shown an eclectic personality, dealing with different forms of expression and always succeeding in obtaining excellent results earning him a long list of important awards and commissions. This Swiss exhibition will bring 16 studies from lost wax castings made between 1965 and 1985 and 14 new tempera works created by the artist in the 2000s from across the Alps. (Red)
