Stockholm. “Johan Helmich Roman, from Italy to Sweden: Italian friendships and musical journeys of a Swedish genius”. This is the event scheduled for May 9th at the Italian Institute of Culture in Stockholm, which will feature Duo Dan Laurin (flute) and Anna Paradiso (harpsichord). The Duo, which performs in concerts all over the world, will dedicate a performance to a great composer, JH Roman, “the father of Swedish music” and to the Italian music that he loved so much. Roman was influenced in his style especially by the Neapolitan school, which he spread in Sweden upon his return from his travels, through public concerts and the Swedish translation of various works. Dan Laurin is considered one of the greatest living flautists in the world. Anna Paradiso, from Bari, has established herself rapidly as an emerging star of the harpsichord, with concerts all over the world and recordings for the BIS that have received enthusiastic criticism.
