Paris. It is a real acoustic journey and a unique show made of sounds and lyrics that Tosca will perform on June 6th at the Italian Institute of Culture in Paris. Fascinated for a long time by international popular music, Tosca has been able to appropriate music of different cultures she came across during her life. These musical fragments gave birth to a poetic and multilingual journey much like a musical tale. Tosca guides us from a Portuguese fado to a Russian lullaby, from a Yiddish song to a gypsy ballad, before casting the anchor at the edges of the Neapolitan, Sicilian and Roman coastlines. Tosca will be accompanied by Giovanna Famulari (piano, cello and vocals), Alessia Salvucci (percussion), and Massimo De Lorenzi (guitar). This event is also part of the documentary film project, “Il suono della Voce”, which currently accompanies Tosca’s concerts to the four corners of the world. (9Colonne)
