Sofia. “Va’ dove ti porta il piede” is the title of the show that will be staged at the Sofia Marionette theatre on September 16th during the Marionette Festival. The protagonist will be Laura Kibel who for over twenty years has performed all over the world with her Foot Theatre, receiving international recognition and awards. The “foot theatre”, halfway between miming and puppets, was appreciated and reinvented by the artist from Verona who developed the techniques and contents. The feet, adorned with thousands of accessories, become the protagonists of the show, embodying ironic or dramatic characters that tell stories of yesterday and today. “Va’ dove ti porta il piede” is the artist’s workhorse: he brings historical pieces from his international repertoire. He addresses universal themes such as the struggle between good and evil, peace and love through irony, rhythm, and colour. Surprising for young and old, in the square as in the theatre, this show has been around the world since 1995. The event was organised in collaboration with the Italian Institute of Culture of Bratislava. (9colonne)
