Dubai – Research and innovation to offer concrete solutions to the future of the planet, but also manufacturing, fashion and design. These are the areas of collaboration presented by the President of the Regione Lombardia, Attilio Fontana, to the Minister of Foreign Trade of the United Arab Emirates Thani Al Zeyoudi at the meeting at the Ministry’s headquarters at Central Park Tower Offices, in the financial district of Dubai. “We are the Region that in Italy, between public and private sectors, invests the most in research – said the governor of Lombardy yesterday – A fundamental sector is our university system, which is accompanied by training”. The governor also recalled that Lombardy is also the first Italian agricultural region and that exports high quality products. The president also underlined the important appointment of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics in which Valtellina will play a fundamental role. For his part, Minister Al Zeyoudi listened with interest to the presentation of Lombard excellence, declaring himself available to identify forms of strategic collaboration, especially in green business. For this reason, during the six months in which the Universal Exposition will take place, specific meetings will be promoted on the various topics and, in November, there will be the opportunity to work at operational tables to promote the Lombard business system. Minister Al Zeyoudi also expressed his intention to investigate the developments of the research that the Lombardy Region, in collaboration with the Milan Polytechnic, is developing on “self-driving car”, an experiment that is also involving the Monza national racetrack. Subsequently, the Governor was received by the president of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry Hamad Buamim, together with the vice president Hassan Al Hashemi. (9colonne)
