(Jun. 8th) – Leonardo Ferragamo is carrying out his mission in Beijing as the President of APPS ( Palazzo Strozzi Partners Association), to propose to potential Chinese partners joining the Association, in order to enhance Florence, Tuscany and Italy’s cultural and artistic patrimony. Ferragamo was welcomed at the Ambassador’s Residence by the Ambassador of Italy to the People’s Republic of China Attilio Massimo Iannucci, who gathered some of the most influential Chinese entrepreneurs showing interest toward Italy and the concrete possibility to start a cultural cooperation between the two countries. An important role has been played by the extraordinary potential and appeal that Florence, Tuscany and Italy have all over the world. This two-days visit brought for the first time a foreigner entrepreneur into the Chinese Communist Party Headquarters, and succeeded in introducing APPS activities, aimed at making Florence, Tuscany and Italy Chinese tourists’ favorite destination, to Chinese entrepreneurs and media. During these two-days meetings, Mr. Ferragamo also introduced Florence Discovery Experience project, which will let Chinese and Italian journalists exchange opinions about the culture of the two countries.
