Oct. 4 – 16 firms from Lucano participated in the Real Italian Wine: an event entirely dedicated to promoting Italian high quality wines in London. Most buyers, however, come from around the world. Hence, the 10 firms plus the consortium of 6 were able to seal commercial deals with them. The Assessor to Agriculture of the Basilicata Region, Rosa Mastrosimone, explains, “it’s an expo that aims at connecting buyers, sellers, chefs, and wine critics from across the world. We deemed it appropriate that our producers be in London and get in touch directly with this international scene.”
