Feb. 25 – At the next Myanmar Fabric & Garment Industry Show, the association of Italian manufacturers of textile machinery, Acimit, will be present with its own stand. The presence is entirely motivated by the recent development of the textile and clothing industry in Myanmar, which has seen strong growth in the sector. The textile industry, especially the packaging department, is attracting the attention of many Western brands as a production base, given its very low production costs. The local textile companies consider it necessary to increase their international competitiveness, however, not only with low labor costs, but also with machines able to sustain increasing production levels. For this reason the Italian textile machinery industry wants to be ready to seize business opportunities in the country. Acimit will participate, therefore, with its own stand at 2013 Myanmar Fabric & Garment Industry Show, the textile industry fair that will be held March 15 to 18 in Yango.
