Mar. 1 – “We know Africa as a continent of great history, as the origin of the world, where men are still fighting wars. Do not know what Africa is for Africans today,” reads the introduction to the book “Health in Africa – a different perspective, “published by Editrice Trentina Life Sc, presented in Trento, in the conference room of the Foundation Caritro. The presentation was attended by the provincial councilor for international solidarity and coexistence, Giovanazzi Lia Beltrami, and the Archbishop Luigi Bressan of Trento. “My heartfelt thanks – said the Councilor – to Lifetime Trentina, for both this publication and for how it accompanies the path to solidarity. The main goal we have set for ourselves is to strengthen the contact network and relationships between Trentino and the rest of the world. We do not want our country to isolate itself by yielding to selfishness. We have focused on training and on self-reliance for the beneficiaries of our interventions, to eliminate any risk of colonialism, of solidarity, of dependency between those who receive and who give. Those who benefited from the training are giving back with their medical expertise that can save many lives. In the book, this experience is reported with the utmost transparency, without hiding figures and costs, and in an attractive way for graphics.”
