Apr. 1 – The Italian artist Roberto Visani is one of the 26 international artists participating in “The Emo Show,” the art project on display until 11 May at the EFA Project Space in New York. EFA is an area dedicated to the study of creative processes, created by the Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts and supported financially by the City and other private foundations. The common thread that unites the works of the artists is taken from the Theory of Rasa, the ancient Indian philosophy used to classify emotional states caused by aesthetic experiences. The aim is to be “emotionally powerful and resonant.” And this is what Visani does with his “Precious Seeds.” The artist, 39 year old from Brescia, reproduces seeds from wheat, bean, seed tropical seed maple, etc.… using materials such as bronze, marble and granite, bringing the viewer to a profound reflection on the need for a return to origins and nature.
