Aug. 5 – “The Bearers of Light” by Enrica Bortolazzi, Carla Perotti and Giuliana Zaglio is a book written in the name of solidarity, containing thirty stories of people who have found the “inner light”: among them there are also the stories of the Italians Paolo Rumiz, Igor Sibaldi and Don Fabio Corazzina. The money raised from book sales will be donated in support of the Tibetan Children’s Village. The organization was commissioned by the Dalai Lama and is active in the education and care of Tibetan children, refugees in India; the authors of the book have been working for several years with the organization. The Tibetan Children’s Village in Dharamsala is home to 2,500 young exiles. Every year, Enrica Bortolazzi personally went to India to bring the entire proceeds of all publishing projects promoted by her – works such as Brescia con le Ali, Gente d’acqua, Anime nomadi e Cuore Divino e Il Coraggio di Ippocrate. The money donated then finances medicine, beds, clothing, books, and daily maintenance works.
