Mar. 26 – The University of Modena and Reggio Emilia is becoming increasingly international. Just yesterday, the University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with USAC, the US University Study Abroad Consortium. The Italian university, selected for its accomplishments in the departments of Communication and Economics, and Education and Human Sciences, has thus become the third Italian partner (after Turin and Tuscia). The official signing took place in Reggio Emilia on the occasion of the annual meeting of the USAC Governing Council, which saw the participation seventy representatives from various universities, consortium members and partners. The partnership kicks off with the promotion and development of exchange programs, providing students with multicultural learning environments that enrich their knowledge and skills. “Reggio Emilia was chosen as location for the 2014 Governing Council – said the Reggio Emilia Dean, Riccardo Ferretti – is an important recognition of the University’s international standing, reached in little over a decade. In these years, the University grew rapidly, reaching important quantitative and qualitative results for the entire University, the city and the system of local businesses. The benefits of this collaboration are clear and give us further impetus to continue in our path.”
