Apr. 3 – The Top Sector rankings compiled by SACE has been released. SACE is a group specializing in supporting the competitiveness of Italian firms in international markets (through services export credit, credit insurance, and investment protection). The ranking reveals the sectors with the greatest potential for exports over the next four years (2014-2017): the agri-food sector (with an average annual growth in exports of +8.9 %) and the wine industry are at the very top. The Sace group will be at Vinitaly (scheduled for April 6-9) to present insurance and financial opportunities and tools suited to promoting the growth of businesses in the wine industry. “Our support for export and liquidity are the cornerstones of our commitment to working businesses in the wine industry, one of the most important symbols of Italian production in the world – said the president of Sace, Giovanni Castellaneta – This commitment is reflected in Sace’s growing involvement in the sector on the whole Italian territory.” Among the initiatives that Sace will present during Vinitaly, there are the €40 million in funding, allocated by Creval and Banca Popolare di Sondrio and guaranteed by SACE, still available to support working capital needs of the wineries in their production cycle. “While the more traditional markets are slowing down – says the group – socio-economic changes in many non-EU countries (Russia, China, the U.S., Japan and Australia above others) are the main drivers of forthcoming new opportunities.” And Italian companies certainly do not want to miss out.
