Guri i Zi – The ” Artists for Guri I Zi” project is promoted by the non-profit organization Idee Migranti, with the support of Jci Capital Ltd, which joined the project in 2011. The proceeds of the auction, to be held in Milan on May 14, will support the creation of a female textile micro–enterprise in the Albanian Guri I Zi village. The hope is that women, thanks to the project, will become increasingly involved in the growth and economic development of their territory. The collection “Artists for Guri I Zi” is the result of the active participation of 39 artists who created and donated 50 works of art. “The ancient tradition of weaving in Albania has been handed down from generation to generation, and is a rich heritage of the territory that we now seek to defend,” said Elena Galateri di Genola, president of Idee Migranti.
