May 29 – Shanghai officially opens its doors to Umbria with a project to promote Umbrian home furnishing companies in the Chinese market in a dedicated showroom of more than 400 square meters, arranged over three floors within the Wending Living Style Plaza. The event is the result of a partnership between the public and private sectors, with the support of the Umbria Region and of its Centro Estero. The project was carried out in less than 6 months so as to give as soon as possible to the 11 participating companies a platform to share of information and useful tools for promotion and the creation of strategic joint ventures. This was mainly made possible by the Chinese partner CasaJolie, who made available its relations on the territory. Among the companies that have joined the project there are Listone Giordano, Tagina, Talenti, Alcantara, Arnaldo Caprai Gruppo Tessile, MastroRaphael, Legnomagia, Eurolegno and Divania. The inauguration ceremony saw the participation of China’s most important media, including: Shanghai Morning Post, Cbn, Modern Weekly, HomeStyle, Elle Decoration, Trends Home, and China News Wire. Local companies involved in the project also attended, side by side with the Consul General of Italy, Stefano Beltrame, and the Director of ICE Shanghai, Claudio Pasqualucci.
