June 3 – After 32,000 km and five continents, Stefano Cucca arrives tomorrow in Sorso, in the province of Cagliari. The 34 year-old Italian embarked on a bicycle trip on June 8, 2013; it was a trip to promote Rumundu, a project conceived by Stefano to look for sustainable lifestyles and promote Sardinia worldwide. Rumundu was created to “give a voice to all those people who move in contrast to the prevailing model of consumerism.” During his trip, the 34-year old Sardinian native confronted himself with “the point of view of those who chose to live in an ecovillage and of the CEOs of multinational businesses who are still trying to the grips of CSR.” During those 12 months, Stefano reported from his Rumundu blog; but now he is opening the website to anyone who wishes to bear witness to alternative lifestyles. “Once I’m back – continues Stefano – I’d like to pursue some rural innovation project and work to promote the sustainable development through the creation of a fund in collaboration with some Venture Capital.”
