July 22 – On June 18, Vinicio Capossela kicked off his double tour, where the singer, Milanese by adoption, performs two different shows, accompanied on stage by various groups of musicians. The first, “Il carnevale degli animali e altre bestie d’amore” includes “Carnival of the Animals,” a suite composed by Camille Saint-Saens in 1886, divided into 14 short tracks inspired by as many animals or characters. The Amadei Trio for the chamber orchestra of the Vianiner Philharmonic revised the whole piece. The trio also collaborates with Vincenzo Vasi, Asso Stefana, Zeno De Rossi and Peppe Frana. The second tour, “Vinicio Capossela e la Banda della Posta,” will see the participation of Asso Stefana and singers Enza Pagliara and Filomena D’Andrea (Makardìa). After a series of successful exhibitions in Italy, this second show will be the first to cross national borders thanks to the Womad World’s festival at Charlton Park, Malmesbury, UK on July 27. Capossela on August 25 will then perform in Zurich at the Zürcher Theater Spektakel.
