(Aug. 12) “We lit a small ‘slice’ of the south. But we’re young and we want to grow. Above all, we want to deal with larger realities. That’s why we’re looking to China. We’re confident about the future, as LED is after all synonymous with quality, savings, and ecology.” Said Angelo Arato, a young entrepreneur from Salerno who is enlarging his “small southern business.” Phaenomena is a company specializing in LED lighting; its business philosophy is high product quality, reliability and customer care. That’s why now the business is ready to go abroad: “We traveled a lot in recent years, participating in many exhibitions in Italy, China, Germany and other countries – continues Arato, alongside Antonio Bianculli, the founders of the company – we promoted our ideas and were appreciated everywhere we went. We are in touch daily with suppliers in the Chinese provinces of Guangdong, Shenzhen and Guangzhou, and we collaborate with other companies in Germany and Eastern Europe. Our project is get in touch with operators in the United Arab Emirates and Taiwan.” Phaenomena LEDs are used in the Teatro Augusto of Salerno, in several towns of Lazio and Basilicata, as well as in a large part of the Vallo di Diano (near Salerno). Offices, roads, shopping centers, multi-functional companies: there are many organizations that have chosen Phaenomena’s solution. “Our products are the answer to the needs of architects, designers and installers. Whoever chooses our LEDs, chooses to respect the environment, chooses to save energy, and more importantly chooses the most advanced technologies for lighting management,” explain Arato and Bianculli. “Just yesterday – adds Arato – We ‘lit’ the main course of Torraca (Salerno), which, after a preliminary draft and a first test, had decided to ‘re-adjust’ at present its LED technology. Phaenomena and Osram, which provided the latest generation of LEDs and power supplies, implemented the project. Osram is one of the largest manufacturers of lighting products in the world. Since 2004, our company has grown considerably and, we are able to be competitive at the national level defying the crisis and the short-sightedness of those who believe that ‘the south’ is dead. We’re very proud of the fact that we received the most prestigious certifications in our industry: the IMQ from the Italian Quality Institute. This has given us the strength and motivation to keep on going. Our work includes a lot of research and development, because we need to update on a daily basis our offer, to keep it innovative and competitive. For this reason, we always compare ourselves to new and distant realities, far away from our small town, but closer to the way we work, think and produce.”
