Feb. 27 – Complex and full of potential, geographically and culturally distant, yet interesting and promising. This is the Chinese market that Italian companies look at with curiousity. This is why the University of Macerata has organized two days of meetings and discussions, to explore the characteristics of China and its business potential. “The creative industries as a new frontier for business in China” is the central theme of the third Winter school “Culture, Art, Creativity: innovative businesses, services and products for the Chinese market,” organized by the China Center and Confucius Institute University of Macerata for March 5-6. This is an annual event open businesses and professionals, as well as scholars and students, interested in the economic and legal aspects of the Chinese business world. According to the study “Io sono cultura,” created by Symbola Foundation and Unioncamere, culture in Italy generates about €214 billion, 15.3% of the total wealth produced. The Marche Region is the first for employed and second for added value produced by the cultural and creative sector. In this field, therefore, China has great potential, with a constantly growing middle class, and a surge in the number of Chinese tourists around the world, from 4 million in the 1990s to 117 million in 2014, with a potential of 200 million by 2020.
