Al Mansouri – In August, the ITALBATT Task Force saw the Italian contingent of UNIFIL conduct and complete a series of joint trainings with the French contingent in Al Mansouri, Lebanon. The joint training with the French army saw the armed forces share their approaches on operational issues, as well as theoretical and practical questions, aimed at the familiarization and standardization of procedures in the context of operational activities on Lebanese territory. These types of exercises, in addition to encouraging a fruitful osmosis by experience, are part of the larger project aimed at creating a fundamental cohesion between the armed forces of 39 countries that currently make up the multicultural environment of the UNIFIL mission.
