Douarnenez – This Saturday, La Spezia, on the occasion of the Maritime Festival, hosts the press conference for the presentation of the Minitransat 2015 race, which will see the participation of deputy Andrea Pendibene, skipper of the Pegaso883, built with the support of the Port Authority of La Spezia. There will be no modern technology to help Pendibene in the two phases of the race, only a sextant and the nautical charts produced by the Hydrographic Institute of the Navy. The first trance of the race goes from Douarnenez (France) to Lanzarote (Canary Islands) and is scheduled for September 19; the second stage, from Lanzarote to Ile de Guadalupe (French Antilles), will instead take place on October 31.
