Istanbul – Two days of meetings and discussions in Istanbul organized by the Italian Cultural Institute of the city. On 16-17 September, the Theater of the Casa Italia will host a series of conferences with Italian experts and academics. On September 16 at 6pm the book “History of the Mediterranean: meeting of cultures between the Middle Ages and the modern age” will be presented. Afterwards, there will be the conference “Istanbul. Seductress, conquering, sovereign” by Franco Cardini (SUM Italian Institute of Human Sciences) and” Suleiman the Magnificent” by Alessandro Barbero (University of Eastern Piedmont). On September 17 at 7pm will take place the conference on “Marco Polo. A Venetian explorer on the Silk Road: the first European to discover Asia” by Marina Montesano (University of Messina).
