Tunis – Epigraphists from the Department of History, Human Sciences and Education of the University of Sassari have completed their field research in Tunisia, with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The Italian researchers wanted to collect the material for the manufacture of 3D digital models of the inscriptions found in recent years on the “hill of the dungeons” in Uchi Maius. An article published in Nuova Sardegna confirms the researchers’ return home and stresses that the Sassari delegation, in a meeting with the director of the Museum of Bardo, showed their solidarity by signing a copy of the petition sent to Unesco, Alecso and other international authorities to preserve the cultural heritage of Libya and the Maghreb.
