November 19th, 2015 – The Marionette Theater of Stockholm will host this evening (from 6pm to 8:30pm) “Teatro Gioco Vita,” which will stage “Donna di Porto Pim,” a show of shadows drawn from Antonio Tabucchi. Organized by Kulturhuset Stadsteatern Stockholm in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute “CM Lerici” and Figur-och Dockteatercentrum, the event will give the public the opportunity to enjoy shadow performances. “Donna di Porto Pim” is a story of sea and ports, published in 1983 by Tabucchi, a story that now comes to life with hands, shadows, sand, clay, wood and water. The show, in Italian with descriptive summaries in Swedish, is intended for an adult audience. Teatro Gioco Vita approached shadow theater in the late 1970s. From its consistent and conscientious work, and with the help of external collaborators, it gained a unique experience that earned the company special awards all over the world. (Red)
