December 7th, 2015 – The Big Apple will “taste” a bit of Lucania this Christmas, thanks to the arrangement of the nativity scene by Franco Artese, Maestro from Grassano (Matera), in the St. Patrick’s Cathedral. The scene will remain open to the public for the entire month of December, to coincide with the holiday season. The initiative was organized by the Tourist Promotion Agency on behalf of the Basilicata region and welcomed by the Diocese of New York, with the support of the Italian Consulate and ENIT-Agency National Tourism, and with the support of Sviluppo Basilicata. But Christmas in New York will also taste of Lucania in the true sense of the word, since the Basilicata Region intends to seize the opportunity to promote Lucan agribusiness products. (Red)
