December 15th, 2015 – The Philippines, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Myanmar and Mongolia are the five new “frontiers” identified by Sace for the Asian edition of “Frontier Markets”, a research and advisory service program in favor of Italian SMEs opening to emerging markets. These are yet unexplored destinations, capable of revealing, in perspective, interesting business opportunities for Made in Italy. “These are very different markets – explains the company specialized in supporting entrepreneurial competitiveness abroad – characterized by challenging economic and demographic profiles and high risk, but with considerable potential for Italian exports.” Altogether these destinations earned Italian businesses around €1 billion in exports in 2014, but with better management it would be possible to add another €450 million in exports by 2018, an important sum especially for small and medium sized companies. To seize these opportunities, the program “Frontier Markets” provides the involved SMEs a guide dedicated to the five countries, the assistance of the international network of offices in Hong Kong and Mumbai and dedicated services, including: financial solutions for the import of commodities for the Italian supply chain; advisory services to evaluate the consistency of single markets and the different risk profiles; adopt effective insurance and financial structures in support of individual commercial transactions and investment; analysis of high potential sectors and reporting of business opportunities.
