Tunis – After the Climate Conference in Paris (COP21), COPEAM (the Permanent Conference of the Audio-visual in the Mediterranean) organized in Tunis a training seminar for radio and television journalists from the Arab world with the aim of providing insights into the agreement concluded in Paris and on the best methods for its dissemination. The seminar was held at the headquarters of ASBU (Arab States Broadcasting Union) with the support of the EIB (European Investment Bank). Journalists from Algeria, Lebanon, Morocco, Mauritania, Palestine and Tunisia examined with UN experts and the BBC the matters that directly affect their respective countries and the whole Mediterranean region. During the work, Pier Luigi Malesani, Secretary General of COPEAM, said that “the role of journalists is crucial to transmit to the general public the complex decisions taken in the Conference of Paris.” (9Colonne)
