Ankara – Breathless. Italy women’s volleyball raises its head and – after an endless challenge – win against Belgium 3-2 in the second game of the Continental Olympic Qualification Tournament, held in Ankara. The Italians had a fantastic run (16-25, 25-23, 22-25, 25-16, 17-15), with an unstoppable crescendo culminating in the tie-break winner, which handed Bonitta’s team a chance to continue pursuing the dream of qualifying for Rio 2016. After the defeat against Russia and the win against Belgium, the next step is the match against Poland. (9Colonne)
