Beijing – There is now a new link between the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin and the upcoming Winter Olympics edition of Beijing 2022, a link created by the work and creativity of university graduates living in the areas surrounding the two events. This is the aim of the workshop between the School of Architecture of the Turin Polytechnic and that of Tsinghua University in Beijing. The two departments exchanged ideas on technical-institutional matters in the event organized by the Castello del Valentino of the Turin University, in collaboration with the City of Turin. The meeting takes place within the well established framework of a collaboration between the Polytechnic and numerous Chinese governments agencies and academic institutions. The Turin hosts had the chance to present to their Chinese counterparts the skills acquired, the challenges faced and the adopted solutions over the course of the Turin Olympics. (9Colonne)
