(8 February, 2016) There is a “before and after” in the relations between Italian companies and Iran, clearly marked by Implementation Day and the end of the sanctions regime against Iran’s nuclear program. As the sanctions are backrolled, Italian exports could rise by nearly €3 billion by 2018. This prospect is currently being supported by a government / business mission, scheduled until February 10 in Iran, which sees the participation of SACE, a company specialized in supporting the competitiveness of Italian companies abroad. There are interesting opportunities for Italian companies in various sectors, including oil & gas, petrochemical, automotive and construction, as the Iranian government aims to attract between $30-50 billion in annual foreign investment to achieve its macroeconomic growth objectives. “The tools provided by Sace – reads a note – will make a difference for Italian companies interested in Iran. Sace’s offer covers classic credit insurance instruments to those for exports, as well as more innovative financial instruments for those companies that decide to invest directly in Iran, Sace’s also offers advisory services to share its information and experience.” (Red)
