Amsterdam – Enel supports the fifth edition of the GRI Global Conference, sponsored by the international organization for sustainability report (Global Reporting Initiative, GRI). This year the event is called “Empowering Sustainable Decisions” and it is taking place in May, 18th – 20th, in Amsterdam. Enel cooperates with GRI to promote the use of information about sustainability during the decision-making process of companies. Enel and the GRI work side by side to identify the new trends about sustainability and reporting, so to redefine company’s reporting practices and thus allowing them to monitor and anticipate the evolution of sustainability issues, rather than deal with consequences. The goal is to strengthen the role of environmental, social and governance elements (ESG, from the acronym) in corporate reporting. Enel and the GRI is committed to use the information and technologies both to improve transparency, so to go further annual reports, and to strengthen the stakeholders, by improving access to the data needed to make decisions.
