(August 4, 2016) Italy returns this year to the Fête de la BD Brussels, the festival dedicated to comics. For the 2016 edition – scheduled from September 2 to 4 at the Parc de Bruxelles – the Italian Institute of Culture in the Belgian capital, along with Lucca Comics & Games and the Piolalibri collaboration, it offers the second part of the exhibition “Quick Steps “, focused on the noir genre. The exhibition will present ten contemporary artists and will offer a selection of books for consultation, so as to make known to the Belgian public famous comics in Italy, but mostly unknown abroad. The Italian stand will also host three exceptional cartoonists: Mirka Andolfo, author of the series “Sacred / Profane”, Riccardo Pieruccini, cartoonist and illustrator who works with several publishers, and Gigi Cavenago, winner of the 2014 Grand Guinigi award for best designer. The three artists will compete in a live performance inspired by the “Comic Battles”: a battle to the last cartoon in which will tell the pleasant and unpleasant sides of their experience at the Fête de la BD.
