(August 11, 2016) An evening with Darinka Montico and her travelling on August 25 at the Italian Insitute of Culture in Dublin. Darinka is an Italian-Slavic writer, photographer and blogger who, after living abroad for 15 years, in 2014 decided to go back to Italy and devote herself to her passions: travelling, writing, dreaming and photography. Alone and with no money, she walked 3,000 km from Palermo to the north-west of the Country, sleeping in strager’s houses and collecting their dreams. Walkaboutitalia, the diary of her first journey, was published in 2015. To promote the book Darinka travelled all around Italy again, but this time with an electric bamboo bicycle, covering more than 6,000 km, scheduling more than 80 presentations in schools, city halls and book stores all over Italy. After four moths spent in her beloved Sicily, Darinka has just published her second book, launching it along with her new project: The never ending road which will see her sail the oceans and travel the world on a bike.
