Barcelona. The Catalan translation of the poetry collection “The Holy Land” by Alda Merini will be launched on Thursday, September 8 (19:00) at the Italian Cultural Institute of Barcelona. Speakers include the Catalan translator and poet Nora Albert and Professor Gabriella Gavagnin from the University of Barcelona, giving a poetry reading in Italian and Catalan. “The Holy Land” is a collection of poems written by Alda Merini and printed by Scheiwiller in 1984. The dominant theme of the collection is the insane asylum that the poet metaphorically assimilated to the biblical Holy Land. (9Colonne)
