(10 October, 2016) The exhibition “Architecture and memory” for the occasion of the 150th anniversary between Italy and Japan. “A dialogue between Italy and Japan in the works of Yum Kōri and Luca Zevi” represents a connection between two architects from Italy and Japan that have maintained an intense dialogue for some years, on architecture. The exhibition will open on October 11 at the Italian Cultural Institute in Tokyo at 19:00. The two architects will first chair a talk during which they will talk about how memory, respect, tradition, and understanding towards nature have influenced and characterised their works. They will discuss the connections and differences between the Italian and Japanese approach to architecture. The exhibition was organised by the ICI and will remain open until October 26. The works of the architects, linked to themes of memory, are displayed on illustrative panels along with their projects; two visions of architecture between common points and differences. (Red)
