(May 13, 2016) For the 2016 International Photoespaña, the Italian Cultural Institute in Madrid is organising the photographic exhibition by “Gabriele Basilico, architecture and the city. From the photographic collections of the Maxxi museum”. The exhibition, curated by Margherita Guccione with Simone Antonacci, will open on May 27th and will be open until September 6th and is a journey through several Italian and international cities accomplished through the eyes of one of the greatest interpreters of contemporary photography. The works in the exhibition come from the Photography Colleciton of the Maxxi Architecture, acquired through various purchasing projects and is the testimony of a long association with the Milanese photographer since 2002 and the Maxxi Art Collection, which has a historical core of “portraits” urban realised by Basile.
