Brussels. Development of new technologies for the production of vaccines, development of adjuvants and carriers, formulations and vaccination methods optimized for age groups, 12 clinical trials and 207 scientific publications were concluded in less than six years. These are the summarised results of Aditec, the European project launched in 2011, which has become a success story, presented at the European Parliament – in the presence of the highest research and development representatives of the European Union – in a meeting during which the vaccine industry in Europe was the focus. Thanks to €30 million involving 42 research institutions in 13 countries and with an Italian coordinating, Aditec has tested a new way to structure research, based on a strong synergy between public and private laboratories, which has been very positive.
