Marrakech – Last Monday kicked off the work of Cop22, the Conference of Parties organized by the United Nations which, this year, meets in Marrakech (Morocco), the representatives of all nations to the UNFCCC, the United Nations Framework Convention on climate change. The big challenge is to define the practical arrangements for implementation of the Paris Agreement, signed last year during the Cop21, through which the Member States commit themselves to reducing their CO2 emissions and keep the global warming to below 2 ° C. In this context, the Abruzzo Region has organized, together with the Ministry, the conference “Global Climate Action – Water Day. Voluntary instruments for local adaptation: the potential of the River Contracts”, hosted by the environmental economist Luca Cetara. (9Colonne)
