Marrakech. November 4 will be a historic day in the world: the Global Agreement on Climate Change enters into force after its approval less than a year ago in Paris, after ratification, in record time, by 55 countries responsible for 55% of global emissions of greenhouse gases, a prerequisite for enforcing the agreement. The Paris Agreement will enter into force on the same day of the International Youth Conference on Climate (COY12) takes place in Marrakech, and the eve of the UN Conference on Climate Change (COP22), which will also be held in Marrakech on November 7 to 18. The Marrakesh Conference will discuss the concrete application of the Agreement and the measures needed to fulfill the petitions made in Paris. A witness to these two important events for the future of the planet will be a delegation of 18 young high school students, and students from the University of Trento selected under the project “A planetary citizenship to tackle Climate Change.” (9Colonne)
