(December 7, 2016) The Dante Alighieri Society returns to Tangiers after a long absence and is again open to the public and the people passing in the pearl of the strait as Italian cultural center. “Italy is the country of art, culture and the rich natural, architectural, archaeological and, lest we forget, gourmet heritage – reads a note -. The new Dante Alighieri Committee of Tangier, chaired by Maestro Jamal Ouassini, proposes for the new year a rich cultural package where the promotion of the Italian language and culture, along with music and art, will be part of the dialogue and exchange between the two sides of the Mediterranean. ” The official presentation of the Committee took place at the historic Hotel Continental, through a round table attended by Silvia Giugni and Sara Di Simone, representatives of the Dante Alighieri Society of Rome, Maestro Ouassini Jamal, president of the Tangier Committee, and faculty academics, journalists, students, representatives of foreign cultural institutions and local authorities.
