London. It is commonly accepted that anthropogenic CO2 emissions are among the main causes of global warming and the origin of many devastating weather phenomena that are shaping the world we live in. Everything seems to be linked to an intensive, massive and unsustainable use of fossil fuels. With great interest and hope we are looking at possible solutions proposed by the international scientific community, and in particular to alternative fuels. Among them is hydrogen. In this context, a recent publication in the prestigious journal Nature Communications is a study which involved the Universities of Trieste, Bologna, Padua, the CNR of Parma, the INSTM Consortium, the ICCOM-CNR institute, the CIC Biomagune of San Sebastian and the University of Pennsylvania and Stanford. Italian experts have coordinated the design and preparation stages of new nanomaterials that are exceptionally effective for the production of hydrogen via electrolysis of water. (9Colonne)
