(30 December, 2016) “Post.com” is an exhibition that comments on postmodernism and postmodern models of community at the Espacio Arte Contemporaneo in Montevideo and is available to view until 5 March. This exhibitionary project, curated by Carolina Lio, is inspired by the French philosopher, sociologist, and literary theorist- Jean-François Lyotard’s theories on postmodernism. According to Lyotard, at the end of great narratives, there should be a concentration on more ‘localised’ and modest experiences that still produce a sense of ‘community’. Community here is understood as the diversified development of micro-narrations. The exhibition was selected for the annual call put forward by the EAC.
