Oslo – The only Italian selected by the European Space Agency (ESA) for the project “Fly a Rocket” for the launch of a rocket spacecraft, is Federico Mazzaglia, student at the University of Pisa, away until Saturday in Norway, at Andøya Space Center, together with twenty other young students from all over Europe. Mazzaglia, born in 1997, native of Catania, moved to Pisa to attend university and the beginning of this academic year was a candidate for “Fly a Rocket!”. “The project – says Maria Vittoria Salvetti, president of the degree course in Aerospace Engineering – is developed in two phases: an online course that Federico has already completed and the true launch campaign”. In this context, the student is part of the “Science” group engaged in the study of the aerodynamics of the rocket and the detection of weather conditions by balloon on the day of the launch.
