(August 7, 2017) Emigration, culture, work and integration: all this is in the book “A Life between Italy and Argentina” by Luigi Solari, telling the story of young engineer Alfredo Del Bono. The volume will be presented on August 9 at 6.30 pm in the salon of the Italian Cultural Institute in Buenos Aires. Through this work, former Italian Ambassador Solari, nephew of the protagonist, realizes the family’s desire to transcribe and publish a part of the memoirs that his grandfather wrote over the last ten years of his life to recount an existence between Italy and Argentina, between the end of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the twentieth century. Del Bono, born of an ancient aristocratic family in Parma, began his journey to Argentina in 1889, where, until his return to Italy in 1913, he came to the fore for his work in the performance of public works as well as his participation in cultural and social life of the Italian community of Buenos Aires. The presentation will be hosted by Fernando Devoto. (Red)
