Dhaka. The National President of the Italian Red Cross, Francesco Rocca, is currently on a visit to Bangladesh to help with the present delicate situation and provide as much support as possible to the more than 507,000 people who, since August 27th, have crossed the border between Myanmar and Bangladesh to flee from violence in the northern areas of the state of Rakhine. Most of them are women and children who are currently live in settlements in Cox’s Bazaar, under very difficult conditions. This is one of the biggest and most complex crises in the region for decades. On Thursday October 5th and Friday, October 6th, Francesco Rocca will visit these improvised fields. (9Colonne)
